2Sigma School Approved as a Computer Science (CS) Promise Provider in Ohio

Columbus, OH (May 18, 2025) — 2Sigma School, an accredited instruction provider offering live classes in computer science, data science, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence, has been named to the Computer Science (CS) Promise Approved Courses and Providers List published by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) for the 2025-26 school year. Through this designation, Ohio districts may enroll students in 2Sigma's catalog of credit-bearing computer-science courses at no cost to families under the state's CS Promise program.

The CS Promise program was created by Ohio House Bill 33 (ORC 3322.20). It enables students in grades 7-12 to take one computer-science course not offered by their home school each academic year and receive high-school credit. ODEW publishes a new provider list annually, and 2Sigma School's approval is effective for the entire 2025-26 school year, with the opportunity to renew in future cycles.

"Our mission is to give every student access to high-quality, live computer-science instruction. Being recognized by ODEW's CS Promise program is an important opportunity for Ohio families and for 2Sigma School," said Vishal Goenka, founder and CEO. "We look forward to working with students, families, and partnering with districts statewide to build pathways that prepare students for the careers of tomorrow."

To qualify for CS Promise, providers must demonstrate rigorous alignment to Ohio's High School Learning Standards for Computer Science and meet stringent quality-assurance criteria.

Ohio schools and districts can now offer instructor-led pathways ranging from AP Computer Science A and Computer Science Principles to Advanced Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. All courses run on 2Sigma's AI-enabled learning platform and are taught by experienced, certified educators in small, interactive cohorts.
